High-Quality Fly Rods for Every Angler
At Mid Antrim Angling, we take pride in offering a carefully selected range of fly rods suitable for both beginners and seasoned anglers. As a family-owned fishing tackle store with years of experience, we understand the importance of having the right equipment when you’re out on the water. That’s why our collection of fly rods includes trusted brands known for performance, durability, and precision.
Whether you’re casting in small rivers or tackling larger bodies of water, we’ve got the perfect rod to match your style and needs. Fly fishing is more than just a hobby – it’s a way of connecting with nature, and we want to make sure you’re fully equipped for the experience.
Choosing the Right Fly Fishing Rod for Your Water
Finding the right fly fishing rod depends on where you fish and what you're after. For small rivers and streams, a lighter, shorter rod gives you better control and delicate presentation, while stillwater and loch fishing often calls for a longer rod with more backbone to handle windier conditions and longer casts.
Our range covers trout fly rods, river fly rods, and stillwater setups from trusted names like Sage, Hardy, Greys, and Vision, so you can match line weight and action to your target species and venue. Beginners often do well with a mid-priced, forgiving action, while experienced anglers may prefer a faster-action rod for distance and accuracy.
If you're not sure which fly fishing rod suits your style, our in-store and online team can talk you through line weights, rod lengths, and actions so you leave with tackle that's right for your local rivers or stillwaters, at a price that fits your budget.
